Texas is a huge mission field that is growing in size and diversity. Currently there are over 165 different language groups living in the State of Texas. The unchurched are rapidly increasing as well. Therefore the need for New Testament churches is at an all time high.
• Texas has over 26 million people. More people live in Texas then AR, MO, MS, LA, and OK, combined. Over 13 million live in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Metro Houston area.
• Over 80% of the protestant churches are either stagnant (with no growth) or declining.
• 4,000 churches close their doors every single year. Since 1950 we have over 30% fewer churches in the U.S.
